Beginning in January, in addition to the new state license plates, you will begin seeing the new UNO specialty plates on Nebraska roads.
Emily Poeschl, Director of Marketing at UNO, says it took 250 applications to meet the Nebraska DMV’s requirement for these plates. She says UNO Chancellor John Christensen’s three children submitted the final three applications needed.
“We are just thankful for the 250 folks that committed to this project and we were able to make it happen. So, it’ll be pretty cool to see these on the roads in January. It’s a great option for faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members and other supporters of UNO.”
Poeschl says plates have already been ordered for graduation, birthday and Christmas gifts. They are available now on the DMV website, although they will not be mailed until after January 1st. Poeschl says be they will be available at local DMV offices beginning in January.
