The VNA Senior Speaker Series kicks off April 19th

The 2018 VNA Senior Speaker Series starts with “Tips for Keeping Your Mind Sharp” on Thursday, April 19th.

Francie McNeil, Business Development Manager for the VNA, says the lunchtime presentation will feature Dr. Dennis Dunning.

Dunning will highlight behaviors to help reduce mental decline, teach people about the differences between the left and right hemispheres of the brain and offer suggestions for brain stimulation.

Additionally, McNeil says Dunning will discuss how nutrition and exercise can affect brain health.

"Our purpose here is to foster a healthy, thriving community by providing passionate, expert care to all.  And it doesn’t matter where their station is in life.  We do that to serve each person’s ever changing needs and they change with age.  We always are looking for how healthcare should be delivered next.”

McNeil says a complimentary lunch will be included for all those who register.  The VNA Senior Speaker Series takes place Thursday, April 19th from 11:30 to 1 at the VNA headquarters.
