COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say the body of a woman has been found inside a house damaged by fire in Council Bluffs.
Firefighters were dispatched around 2:25 a.m. Friday. An initial report said someone may have been trapped in a bedroom.
Firefighters say flames were coming from windows and through the roof when firetrucks arrived, and it took about 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
The woman's name hasn't been released. Neighbors say she'd lived in the home for several years.
The fire cause is being investigated.
