Enjoy the sounds of the season during "Holiday Under Glass," Joslyn Art Museum’s annual holiday luncheon concert series held in the Museum’s glass atrium.  The 2019 series begins Wednesday, December 4, and continues every Wednesday and Friday through December 20, from noon to 12:45 pm. 

Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Amy Rummel stopped by the studios at 33rd and Burt to chat with Mike Hogan about this festive, uplifting luncheon.  She also talked about a contemporary masterpiece of medieval craftsmanship, The Saint John’s Bible, which is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible commissioned by a Benedictine Monastery since the invention of the printing press in the fifteenth century.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, KIOS had the privilege of hosting renowned NPR journalist and former All Things Considered host Susan Stamberg at Joslyn Art Museum's Witherspoon Concert Hall on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019.

Her conversation with KIOS' Development Director Michael Lyon ranged from her start in public radio and the early days of All Things Considered to the future of public radio journalism and women's place in advancing the medium.

The Joslyn Castle is excited to welcome the community to Castlepalooza, a FREE neighborhood festival scheduled for June 1, 2019 on the grounds of the historic estate!

Castlepalooza will feature live music, activities for families, yoga on the lawn, vendors, food trucks and beverages.  Everyone is invited to the Joslyn Castle estate for a fun evening on our historic grounds!

Kelli Bello, Manager of Communications and Development, joins Mike Hogan "Live & Local" to discuss the festival and how it kicks off a summer filled with free, family friendly activities.

Castlepalooza will be a celebration of over 115 years of the Joslyn Castle in Omaha.  Festivities will kick-off at 3pm and conclude at 9pm on Saturday, June 1st.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha has announced plans to erect a new building on land it's occupied since 1931.

The museum said in a news release Wednesday that the architectural firm of Snøhetta has been chosen for the project. The firm's many noted projects include work for the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, the National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion at the World Trade Center in New York City and the expansion of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
