(Omaha, NE) -- Flooding is impacting eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Deputies encouraged residents in southwestern Sarpy County to evacuate after water overtopped a levee near Capehart Road yesterday. All 26-hundred residents of Missouri Valley, Iowa were ordered to evacuate yesterday after multiple levee breaks were reported. The state patrol says two people were rescued from a vehicle that got caught in floodwaters near Pierce yesterday, and residents along the Platte River between Ashland and Gretna were asked to evacuate last night.
