A Portrait of a Pandemic: Rent Protections in Omaha Expire on June 1st

  • Millions of Americans haven’t been able to pay their rent since the pandemic started spreading throughout the world and Nebraska has been no exception. As Governor Ricketts allows temporary rent protections to expire on June 1st, many fear we will see a huge influx of non-payment evictions in Omaha. Joshua LaBure of KIOS discusses this with the Omaha Legal Aid of Nebraska's managing attorny, Scott Mertz.
