(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska is in the middle of the pack when it comes to average teacher salaries. According to an annual report from the National Education Association, Nebraska teachers earned on average more than 54-thousand-dollars during the 2017-2018 school year. The state ranked 25th in teacher pay last year, which is up from 29th two years ago. The salary for a first-year Nebraska teacher with a bachelor's degree was more than 34-thousand-dollars, which is 43rd in the nation.
