Omaha, NE – Construction on the Home Instead Center for Successful Aging will begin in September. It'll take about a year to complete the Geriatic Center. It's being named in honor of Home Instead Senior Care, which donated about half of the $10.2 million cost of the facility. The Home Instead Center will house a Community Education and Outreach Center, nine exam rooms in a geriatric medicine clinic, and a geriatric psychiatry center. Dr. Jane Potter, chair of geriatric medicine at UNMC, says the new Center will also be a tool for education and recruitment.
