Omaha, NE – Second District Congressman Lee Terry was first elected to the U.S. House in 1998. He announced Sunday he's seeking a sixth term. Terry says he feels Congress still has a lot of work left to do, and he doesn't trust the direction other leaders want to take the country in. The five-term Congressman says his campaign will focus on security, energy independence and the economy.
Richard Carter, a Democrat and professor of Economics at Metro Community College, has formed an exploratory committee and is considering a run against Terry for the Second District seat.
