Those looking to tube or paddle on the Elkhorn River in eastern Nebraska are out of luck until next years.
The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District has announced that all Elkhorn River access sites closed Friday for the season.
The access points are scheduled to reopen April 1.
Spring flooding and high water levels through stretches of the summer curtailed much of water recreationalists' access to the Elkhorn River this year.
