Nebraska's Governor has chosen to appoint a Douglas County Election Commissioner for his third term. Commissioner Brian W. Kruse's term started again on January 1st, and will end on December 31, 2027. He was reappointed by Governor Pillen, a requirement for counties with populations of more than 100-thousand. He was first appointed by former Governor Pete Ricketts, and has been in the role since January 2016.
