After 34 years, Car Talk has reached the end of its radio road.
NPR has announced that radio distribution of the long-running, Peabody Award-winning call-in show will officially end on Thursday, October 1st. However, NPR says it will begin distribution of a twice-weekly podcast, including early versions of the show, running in sequential order. You can find a link to subscribe to the podcast here. The show’s last broadcast on 91.5 FM KIOS Omaha Public Radio will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 25th.
Beginning on Saturday, October 2nd, the 9 a.m. hour will feature Bullseye with Jesse Thorn, a weekly conversation program featuring the best of arts and pop culture.
