U.S. Firm Finds Shipwreck Thought To Hold Tons Of Silver
More than 94 years after being sunk by a torpedo, a ship carrying tons of silver has been located by a marine salvage company. Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc. says it has found the SS Mantola, which came under attack by a German ship in 1917, as it sailed from London to Calcutta.
Florida Law Tightens Voting Rules, Angers Advocates
The new law reduces the time period groups have to turn in new voter registrations from 10 days to two. For forms turned in late, there are steep fines and other possible civil penalties. Critics say these changes violate the federal Voter Rights Act and unfairly target minorities.
