Carol Pederson

Carol Pederson began as a volunteer at KIOS-FM in 1993, was hired to work part-time in development in 1994, and started on-air in August 1995.

After having grown up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Carol got her B.A. in Music Education from Augustana College in 1980.  She's taught in Irene, SD and in Sioux Falls and got her Elementary Teaching Certification from USD in Vermillion, SD in 1986.

Carol came to Omaha in 1989 to work as a teacher for OPS.   After 13 years at Belvedere Elementary teaching  4th grade and then 5th grade, she's currently in her 10th year  at Adams Elementary.  She's had lots of grade level experiences at Adams teaching 5th grade, 6th grade, 3rd grade and now 2nd!
