Naig In NY To See U.S.-Japan Trade Deal Signing

(New York, NY)  --  Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig got a first-hand look at the new trade deal between the U.S. and Japan today.  Naig was in New York this morning where he saw President Donald Trump sign the agreement with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.  Naig says the agreement is a win for agriculture and it will lower tariff's on agriculture products so Iowa producers can be competitive in the Japanese market.

Of note, Japan will eliminate or significantly lower tariffs for American beef, pork, poultry, wheat, cheese, wine, certain nuts and berries, cherries, ethanol, and more – a major win for American farmers, ranchers, and growers.
