KIOS-FM Holiday Pledge Drive Changed to December 17 as Public Service to You!
Next week, the full House of Representatives will take up the question of whether to impeach President Donald Trump. They'll debate and vote on the two articles of impeachment that have now been passed out of committee. The floor debate is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
Because we want to provide you with all the coverage to which you have become accustomed, we have moved our Holiday Pledge Drive to Tuesday, December 17th. Your contributions will literally allow us to bring you the breaking news coverage of this historic event.
***End of Update***
With the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season all around us, your friends at KIOS invite you to take a few moments to think about the programs, the news coverage, and jazz music that you have counted on over the past year. In this time of giving, we ask you to think about your NPR station KIOS-FM, and donate during our Year-End pledge drive on Tuesday, December 17th.
With the calendar year nearly behind us, Omaha Public Radio is facing a critical year ahead that includes vital equipment upgrades so that we can continue to bring the Omaha Metropolitan Area the quality radio programming you have come to expect from KIOS FM. From a new transmitter and an upgraded new antenna, to a computer programming system overhaul, KIOS is facing significant financial hurdles in 2020. But with the continued support from this community it will be a successful race ahead.
Just a reminder, about 2/3 of the finances needed to keep KIOS-FM programming alive and well comes from donations from listeners and from underwriters. The year ahead will be quite a financial challenge for KIOS, but with your help we can reach our goals in providing the quality programming and transmission that you deserve.
