Weysan Dun, Special Agent in Charge at the FBI’s Omaha office, will be the guest speaker for Creighton’s upcoming Asian World Lecture.
Maorong Jiang is the Director of the Asian World Center at Creighton. He says Dun is the longest serving special agent in the Omaha division. Dun’s assignment as a field agent includes investigating national security matters, high technology theft investigations, and criminal enterprises.
Jiang says Dun’s presentation on March 29th will discuss the current cyber threat, the challenges it presents and some ideas for mitigating the threat.
"And his talk will also characterize the overall cyber threat emanating from organized criminal enterprises and terrorist groups who are looking for ways to attack our critical infrastructure. And foreign spies wanting to steal American secrets.”
Creighton’s Asian World Lecture takes place on Thursday, March 29th at 12:30 p.m. in the Harper Center Auditorium. There is no charge to attend and details are available at Creighton.edu/ccas/asianworldcenter
