The City of Council Bluffs will hold its third in a series of public meetings tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 on the West Broadway Corridor Redevelopment Plan.
Don Gross, Director of Community Development, says the city has been working with Urban Design Associates and HDR in the fall of 2014 on a master plan for the West Broadway Corridor.
Gross says that includes everything south of ‘A’ to Second Avenue, from the interstate to the West Broadway viaduct.
He says the public is invited to the Council Bluffs Community Hall tonight to give their input on the plan.
"We are going to present some final recommendations and thoughts concerning the corridor. And we want to gather public input on those and get confirmation of whether or not these are things the public would support.”
Some of the things the public will be asked to weigh in on is how they would like to see West Broadway reconstructed, whether it should have five lanes, and how the city can incorporate sidewalks and greenery.
Gross says another concern is what the city should do with First Avenue.
