Do Space Presents "The Summer of Invention"

Do Space is offering “The Summer of Invention” through an assortment of classes.

Executive Director Rebecca Stavick says they are challenging members of the Omaha community to decide what they will do with the next few months.

Adults looking for jobs or changing careers have the option to attend the “Reinvent Yourself” series where they will learn about online job searching and social media professionalism.

Stavick says there will also be “Career Meetups” on Tuesdays from 9-Noon where people can connect with other job seekers.

Kids are encouraged to invent with “The Great Prototype Challenge.”

"Picture a really big cart with different bins full of all kinds of different things.  The idea is let’s get kids in here and really start prototyping things even if its lower level, the idea is experimenting is fundamental to education.  So kids will have a challenge and be able to take say five things from the cart and then we will start a whole prototype challenge.”

“The Great Prototype Challenge” takes place Sundays at 2:30 throughout the summer.

Stavick says membership is required for all the classes and events but is offered at no charge. A complete list of summer events is available online at DoSpace.org.
