Electric scooters will soon be rolling on the streets of Omaha. Mayor Jean Stothert signed the paperwork yesterday to allow the six-month pilot program to proceed. Stothert says she had concerns that the scooter company, Lime, had been inconsistent with information about its geofencing technology. Geofencing is designed to stop riders from entering prohibited areas, and Lime officials told Stothert that technology would be in place in Omaha by June 14th.
