President Barack Obama will visit an Omaha family this afternoon before speaking at UNO.President Obama is visiting Omaha, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, following his final State of the Union address last night. The President is scheduled to arrive at Offutt Air Force Base early this afternoon, and will be greeted there by Governor Pete Ricketts.
After he arrives in Omaha, President Obama will meet with a young family. He’ll then speak at Baxter Arena about 4 pm. Lieutenant Governor Mike Foley will attend the speech in Ricketts’ place.
Obama’s last visit to Omaha was during his 2008 presidential campaign.
