The New American Arts Festival is August 2nd, Sr. Director Lacey Studnicka Discusses "Live & Local"

This project, in its 6th year, is hosted by Lutheran Family Services and BFF on the first Friday in August. The New American Arts Festival is a street festival on Military Avenue in downtown Benson.

This event seeks to highlight the performance and visual arts of Omaha's refugee and immigrant communities.  There will be workshops, live music and dance performances, visual art collaborations in local galleries, and a street artist market!

Lacey Studnicka, Senior Director-Engagement and Outreach at Lutheran Family Services stops by the KIOS studios to chat with Mike Hogan about this completely free and family friendly event.  Gallery Spaces are on Maple St. Stage and street galleries are on Military Ave. Workshops are held at the Benson Community Center.
