Kids Take Apart a Real Car at the Omaha Children's Museum, Kim Reiner Explains on KIOS-FM

Scientists, doctors, and philosophers all agree that "play" is so important to all humans of any age!  The Omaha Children's Museum is dedicated to promoting play and they invite you to celebrate the tinkerer spirit at the annual Tinkerfest, Saturday, September 14th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meet makers, tinkerers, DIYers, & inventors who will share their excitement with young and old.  Each table at Tinkerfest will feature something hands-on to engage children, from a toy take-apart to building board games and video games, pottery, creating upcycled crafts and working with textiles.

Kim Reiner, Director of Marketing and PR, joins Mike Hogan "Live & Local" to discuss the museum, the big event, and one of the highlights: a car take-apart where kids get to take apart a real car!
