Rachel Adams, Bemis Center Chief Curator & Director of Programs Chats About Two Huge Events

Eleven artists and one curator from around the world are living and working at Bemis Center for  Contemporary Arts in Omaha right now and Saturday, October 19 is your chance to meet them and see their work in person!  The Open House / Open Studios event is a free, all-ages event and the public’s only opportunity to visit the artist and curator studios and see what they have been working on while at Bemis.

And wait!...There's more!  Rachel Adams, Bemis Chief Curator and Director of Programs joined Mike Hogan "Live & Local" this morning to discuss The Benefit Art Auction + Concert on Friday, October 25.  This annual celebration of art and Bemis Center’s mission is not your typical gala with a sit-down dinner presentation and live and silent auction.  More than 800 guests will be roaming Bemis’s galleries enjoying food and drinks and bidding on more than 300 artworks from more than 200 local and national artists.

There will be a polka band closing out each silent auction section and an artist-designed photo booth!

This event supports the participating artists and raises critical funds for Bemis Center programs.  For additional details and to purchase tickets visit bemiscenter.org/benefit.
