"Ultra Chic Boutique" Provides Designer Dresses for $30 to Raise Money for NE Alzheimer's Assoc.

Every year, Max I. Walker customers donate dresses – prom, wedding, bridesmaid, cocktail and other formal gowns – at locations all across the Metro, and then Max I. Walker’s employees generously clean, press and store them.  Once ready, the dresses are sold for just $30 (cash only) at the Ultra Chic Boutique dress sale event in February.  From 2007 to 2017, the proceeds were donated to the Open Door Mission's Lydia House.

Starting in 2018, the Max I. Walker family began partnering with the Nebraska Alzheimer's Associationfor the Ultra Chic Boutique.  At the 2018 & 2019 events, they raised a total of $38,000 for this worthy cause!

Casey Walker and Steph Dorland from Max I. Walker join Mike Hogan "Live & Local" to discuss the program, remind everyone that dresses are accepted year round, and reflect on how Alzheimer's touches each and every one of us.

If you have an old prom dress, bridesmaid's dress or any dresses you'll never wear again, simply drop them off at your nearest Max I. Walker location. They take dress donations year round!  They'll clean, press and prepare your gowns, transforming them into the dress of someone's dreams, then store them until next year's big day.  The next Ultra Chic Boutique is Saturday, February 1, 2020.
