January is National Mentoring Month. It's an opportunity for people to become mentors to the youth in Nebraska who need someone.
MENTOR Nebraska, was launched in 1999 to improve the number and quality of mentoring programs available for Nebraska’s youth. They support and collaborate with more than 200 mentoring programs that serve 14,000+ youth across Nebraska.
Melissa Mayo is the Executive Director of MENTOR Nebraska and she was kind enough to chat with Mike Hogan on “Live & Local” about the program, how people can become involved, and dispel some myths about mentoring.
