Juke in the Back, a weekly examination of post war Rhythm and Blues music will make it's debut on Saturday January 9th at 7:00 PM replacing 12th Street Jump that is ending production.
Juke in the Back, hosted by longtime radio personality Matt The Cat, celebrates the rich history of early Rhythm and Blues with artist spotlights, surveys of a particular year or the music of the famous independent record labels that dominated the post war scene.
Artists like Fars Domino, Professor Longhair, Omaha native Wynonie Harris, LaVern Baker, Ruth Brown and many others made their name and built the foundation for the rock and roll explosion to come.
