Omaha, NE – The Harper Center at Creighton University is the site of The Emerging Markets Conference October 11th and 12th.
The conference is sponsored by the Eurasian Business and Research Center and the City of Omaha. Board Member Nilufar Rakhimova says the conference has two main purposes. One is opening up opportunities for US companies in different regions. The second is to promote cultural relationships. She says the conference is intended to promote export-import relations between the Midwest and several Eurasian countries. Panels will highlight business success stories as well as international business initiatives in the Midwest.
Rakhimova says one of the top speakers at the conference is from Russia. Andrew Somers is the president of American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. He is the person who met with President Obama when the President made his first trip to Russia.
