Omaha, NE – The Omaha Public Schools board could choose a consultant Monday to lead the search for a new superintendent.
Last week, the OPS board opened bids from four consulting firms. Three are based in the Chicago area; the other is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At a special board meeting Monday at 2:30, board members will review those proposals and could choose a consultant.
OPS Superintendent Dr. John Mackiel is retiring at the end of this school year after 39 years with the district.
