A group called the Alliance for the Pure Life is warning Nebraska residents that their private information could be at risk if they sign petitions. According to state officials, postcards mailed out this week warn recipients not to sign on to support efforts to legalize medical marijuana and/or casino gambling at racetracks. One state senator characterizes the effort as a "scare tactic." The president of a statewide non-profit organization says the mailings appear to be a case of "voter suppression."
