Schwab Officially Buying TD Ameritrade
Charles Schwab is officially purchasing Omaha-based TD Ameritrade. The companies announced this morning Schwab will buy TD Ameritrade for 26-billion dollars, creating a company worth more than five-trillion dollars in assets. The "Omaha World-Herald" reports that Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts said the acquisition of TD Ameritrade creates uncertainty for thousands of Nebraskans who have worked for the company.
