The city of Omaha will not get any federal money under the CARES Act. Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert announced on Friday that no federal money will go to Omaha because the city's population is under 500-thousand. One-point-two-billion dollars in CARES Act money will be allocated for the state, and Douglas County will receive 160-million-dollars over the next two weeks.
