Omaha could soon expand in size. Mayor Jean Stothert has submitted a proposal to annex three sites that would add 248 people to the city's population. The sites include Whispering Ridge West near 180th and Maple, Northridge near 180th and Pacific as well as an area near 156th and Fort. The city planning board will consider the proposal on June 2nd, and the annexation would take effect on July 27th if approved.
