Sign of the times: A recent study found that people are more likely to have hostile feelings toward people of another political party than members of another race.

Thousands of Nebraska voters are switching political parties. The Nebraska Secretary of State's Office says over the past three months, the Republican Party gained 84-hundred registered voters, the Democratic Party lost 56-hundred voters and Independents saw their numbers fall by more than 26-hundred. May 2nd was the deadline for voters to switch parties ahead of the primary election.
