The city of Omaha is receiving a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. The one-million-dollar grant will fund the creation of a climate action, resilience and mitigation plan. The city will also use the money to cover consulting fees and a full-time city staff position. The grant calls for the city to create a "priority plan" by March 2024, a "comprehensive plan" by 2025 and a status report in 2027.
