A Nebraska meat packing plant will pay a fine. Swift Beef Company will pay 275-thousand-dollars in civil penalties for alleged violations of the federal Clean Water Act. The EPA alleges that the company failed to comply with Clean Water Act permit limits at its plant in Grand Island. Swift paid a one-point-two-million-dollar fine for similar violations in 2011.
