An Omaha native who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor is being laid to rest. George Allen Thompson was assigned to the USS Oklahoma when he was killed on December 7th, 1941. Thompson, who is one of 356 sailors who have been successfully identified, will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
