A longtime Nebraska lawmaker is dropping out of his legislative race. Former State Senator Ernie Chambers of Omaha filed a "declination of nomination" form with the Douglas County Election Commission yesterday. Chambers, who served parts of five decades in the Nebraska Senate, will no longer challenge State Senator Terrell McKinney in the legislative District 11 race.
