A former University of Nebraska football player was found dead. Omaha police were called to a home near 38th and Franklin Street on Wednesday after neighbors reported a gas odor. Fifty-four-year-old Calvin Jones was found dead in the basement from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning. Jones was a running back for the Huskers from 1990 to 1993 and later played in the NFL for the Raiders and Green Bay Packers.
