New Archbishop Named For Omaha Archdiocese

A new archbishop is named for the Archdiocese of Omaha. Bishop Michael McGovern of Belleville, Illinois has been named to be the sixth archbishop of Omaha, replacing the retiring George Lucas. Lucas submitted his resignation in June as is required when a bishop reaches the age of 75. McGovern will be installed as the new Archbishop May 7th.
