A two-year budget package is approved by the Nebraska Legislature. The 11-billion-dollar spending plan was approved yesterday during a final round of voting. WOWT reports the budget calls for a nearly one-percent increase in state expenditures and transfers 361-million dollars from agency cash funds and a rainy-day fund. The spending plan now heads to Governor Jim Pillen for his signature.
