Health managers are confirming Nebraska's first measles case of the year in the Panhandle. The Panhandle Public Health District says the case involves a vaccinated child with no recent travel history, suggesting possible local transmissions. Possible public exposure sites include the Family Dollar in Rushville on May 17 and the Gordon Clinic on May 21. The child's symptoms were mild, and they are recovering.
