Former Nebraska State Senator and congressional candidate Tony Vargas [[ VAR-gus ]] announces his campaign for Douglas County Treasurer. He served eight years in the Legislature before he was term-limited. Vargas was also a member of the Omaha Public Schools Board. The Assistant Director of the Omaha Human Rights and Relations Department, Christian Espinosa Torres, [[ TOHR-es ]] has also announced a campaign for Treasurer.
