Laborers carry wood piles for preparations of the "Make In India" summit in Mumbai, India, in February 2016. Will India resist the populist pull inward and boost its global trade?

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is leading an eight-day trade mission to India this week. The governor's office says the delegation includes Iowa Economic Development Authority director Debi Durham, and Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig. Stops include Delhi, Pune, and Mumbai, with remarks planned at a food-security symposium. Officials say the goal is to expand trade and investment ties and build on last year's visit.
