Two leaders in the fight against human trafficking will speak at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) on Monday, July 18.
The lecture is set for 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Mammel Hall (6708 Pine Street). A pre-event reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. Both the lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
Matt and Sylvia Friedman will discuss new responses to human trafficking and the role that businesses and nonprofits play in addressing the issue at a local level.
Matt Friedman says we can change attitudes to human trafficking, get more people involved and bring an end to slavery in the modern era.
