Flood Damaged Community Considers Future

Residents in flood-damaged Pacific Junction are considering their future. A meeting took place last night in Glenwood where Mills County Emergency Management officials told residents that rebuilding the town could take two to four years.  More than 200 homes were damaged by flooding last month, and some of those houses are considered structurally unsafe. Officials say the local levee breach at Pony Creek will be repaired by next week, but two other levee breaches could take longer to fix.
