Since the breakup of the former Yugoslavia, Serbs feel they have no identity. There is no national anthem, and the passports still say Republic of Yugoslavia. After years of isolation, sanctions and international criticism, Serbs feel they are on the fringes of the world.

In major video game company first, Activision Blizzard employees are joining a union
A subset of staff at the massive video game company Activision Blizzard voted to join the Communication Workers of America. The vote comes as Activision Blizzard is being purchased by Microsoft.

G8 Cancels Debt for 18 Poor Nations
The G8 group of industrialized nations wipes out $40 billion in debt owed by 18 poor nations. Most are in sub-Saharan Africa. Some observers say much bigger steps are still needed. British officials will push for a larger effort at G8 talks in Scotland, coming in July.

On Thursday, Volodymyr Omelyan and his family awoke to the sound of missile blasts nearby. By Friday, he had said goodbye to his wife and children and enlisted to fight.
