City of Omaha Declares Snow Emergency

A snow emergency has been declared for the City of Omaha effective at midnight tonight and will remain in effect until Noon on Thursday.

The City’s regulations effect where cars may be parked on residential streets east of 72nd Street.

Vehicles should be parked on the side of the street with odd addresses by midnight tonight and move to the other side (even addresses) Thursday. 

Cars in violation of the snow emergency parking restrictions may be ticketd.  The City will not issue tickets between 6:00 p.m. and midnight.

The City declares a snow emergency if four or more inches of snow are forecast and a prolonged period of below-freezing temperatures is projected.
