Flood Threat Closes Highways in Nebraska and Iowa

WESTERN IOWA -- The threat of flooding along the Missouri River and other streams forced authorities to close stretches of Interstates 29 and 680 as well as Highway 30 in western Iowa.

I-680 is closed between the Mormon Bridge over the Missouri River and the I-29 interchange just west of Crescent. I-680 is also closed between Loveland and Minden.

Interstate 29 has been closed from Missouri Valley to Council Bluffs.

In addition, Highway 30 is closed from Missouri Valley northeast to Dunlap.

Those living in Missouri Valley can get to Omaha by taking Highway 30 through Blair.
