AFM Case Confirmed

(Omaha, NE)  --   A case of Acute Flaccid Myelitis is confirmed in the Omaha area.  The Douglas County Health Department announced yesterday that a child was treated at a hospital for AFM and later released.  Two other cases were previously confirmed in Sarpy and Cass counties.  AFM symptoms include loss of muscle tone and reflexes, limb weakness, slurred speech and problems swallowing.
